5 important Documentum jobs

dm_DMClean -

This job automates the dmclean utility.

dmclean  scans the repository for orphaned content objects, ACLs, annotations and aborted workflows.

This utility creates a script to remove the orphaned objects .
A report file is created in repository at /System/Sysadmin/Reports/DMClean.

dm_DMFilescan -

This job automates the dmfilescan utility. Scans a specific storage area or all

storage areas for content files that do not have associated content objects,

generates a script to remove them .Or we can say actual deletion from physical filesystem is done by this utility.

A report file is created in repository at /System/Sysadmin/Reports/DMFilescan.

dm_AuditMgt -

This job automates the task of removing unneeded audit trail objects.

Each time an audited event occurs, an audit trail entry is created for the event.

If the old outdated audit trail entries are not removed regularly, the tables for

the dm_audittrail object type will grow very large causing performance

degradation.

By default cutoff is 90 days, you can update it in job properties.

A report file is created in repository at /System/Sysadmin/Reports/AuditMgt.

dm_LogPurge -

Deletes content server, dmbasic method server, connection broker, agent exec,

session, method result, job result, lifecycle and method server log files from the

file system and the repository. Old job reports are also removed from the repository.

A report file is created in repository at /System/Sysadmin/Reports/LogPurge.

Dm_QueueMgt –

Deletes dequeued Inbox items. Inbox items can be job failure notifications,

workflow task notifications, rendition request notifications, etc. When users

forward or remove items from the Inbox, the corresponding dmi_queue_item is

marked as dequeued, but not removed from the repository.

Overtime, the number of entries can grow very large causing database

performance degradation especially when accessing the Inbox.
